Varanasi Ayodhya Tour itinerary

Day 1

  1. We receive you either at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport or Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station and transfer to your hotel. Please have a bath and finish your breakfast to depart for the enlightening tour’s first leg. We have kept an hour for you after arriving at the hotel.
  2. We first visit the world famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, forming part of the twelve Jyotirlingas. This temple is huge and attracts big crowds, so be patient. Take your time looking around. If you need to perform pooja, feel free to do so.
  3. Next we will visit the nearby Annapoorna Mandir, known as Goddess of Food. This is a beautiful temple to visit. Now we give you an hour for lunch and strolling around. Our guide will show the best available restaurants as per your liking.
  4. You can stroll in the nearby bazaars for shopping. Varanasi or Kashi or Banaras, has multiple specialties not found anywhere else like Banarasi Saree, Gulabi Meenakari, Knotted carpets, Flutes, glass beads, Rudraksh Malas, Wooden toys, Ramnami clothes, colorful bangles and the famous mithai, Lal Peda.
  5. Proceed to Dashaswamedha Ghat, around 4:30, where all aarti’s take place. It is interesting to watch the pujari’s attire, their fixed positions and how they all chant mantras in unison, and how they swing the lamps similarly making it a spectacular sight. After the Aarti, hundreds of lamps are afloat on Maa Gange and it appears as a carpet of lamps is glowing majestically. If you so wish, a boat ride will enlighten you more, as Kashi at night looks mesmerizing.

Time to call it a day and return to the hotel. Next day we leave at 7 am, so please ensure to have good sleep at night.
